Blue Moon Harvest Moon:
Excellent for the beginner. Smooth and easy-drinking but not very pumpkiny.

Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale:
Light and refreshing. Also good for the fan of easy-going drinkable beers. Not a whole lot of body, but the pumpkin flavors and aromas are starting to show themselves.

Dryish and pumpkinish and pretty tasty. Michelob...with pumpkins. If you like Michelob and/or the previous candidates, summon Jack.

Saranac Pumpkin Ale:
Interesting take. Perhaps a bit too much vanilla and spice mixed in with the pumpkin. Really nice body. Overall, a cool brew. Dessert for sure. Beginners beware.

Wolaver's Will Stevens' Certified Organic Pumpkin Ale:
Extremely fresh pumpkin flavor. Truly authentic and gourd-tastic! Also a little tart, reminiscent of a Flemish sour.

Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin Ale:
Now we're talking. Imperial in flavor and style. Higher range in alcohol content (8%) and smooth pumpkin flavor. Rich and spicy (shout out to cardamom!!). Love the cloves, too.

Dogfish Head Punk:
Never in the middle of the pack, Dogfish delivers again with a quirky take on the fall classic. Great body and wine-like finish. Bottle or draft, this is a true winner and one of El Presidente's personal faves.

Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale:
This is an outstanding ale. Period. And it's one of the finest seasonal brews out there. Period. And more specifically, Smuttynose is in the upper echelon of pumpkin beers. From late summer to early winter, don't let this one out of your sights.

Southern Tier Imperial Pumpking:
This is that dragon costume that breathes real fire and everyone at the party remembers. This may even be the Great Pumpkin himself. This is extravagant and Pumpkinlicious. If you like pumpkin ales and haven't tried this one, shame on you. Go all out this Halloween. Celebrate the garish and obnoxious costumes and have a Pumpking.
